‘little girl’ goes green

and no; I don’t mean she became a tree huger. I found these while going through my desk this morning and just had to share.

My friend Elda stopped by one night several years ago to partake in this madness.

Of course her brother had to get in on the belly laughs and fun.

Now, what was really cool for me was, when she was out of the net and playing in the field she was easy for me and the Refs to find.

she made it through basic and ’A’ school and ‘jump school’. pretty amazing and i am very proud of her. she will be headed to her duty station soon back in VA.

where i have to go sometimes, this is mayo clinic scottsdale where i get a lot of test done. the radiation area is underground and i call it the bat cave.

she finally dropped by for a visit

can you believe it? she finally stopped by the house to see me. what does she want to do? oh, come on, do you really think she wanted to just see me which i know she did. no, it was straight to the PS3! it was good to see her however.

she will be gone soon

the last of my children, heather, will be moving out soon. i have had kids under my feet for 30 years. it will be an odd time for me i am sure, but something tells me i shall survive. i will not lie and say i will not miss her. i am sure i will, but for the first time in a long time i will be able to ....

today is turning out to be a busy day.

mom is still in the hospital and doing so so. in a lot of pain but hanging in there. jessy and aaron are at the hospital right now and she is heading into labor. i go to the doctor this morning to have my feeding tube removed. jezzz. so here is a picture of heather and her friend tiffiney. they are in san diego with work. oh well, at least it's not boring around here.

this was taken a few summers back, when heather first decided to come and live with me. i enjoyed these (short sided) games for one really important reason. there was a hawaiian ice stand there. yummmmmm! well, seeing heather play of course was inportant as well.

it was cold the other morning

now, we do not get snow or get as cool as other parts of the country, but for us it was cold the other day. this is heather getting the ice off her windows before heading to school.

i really do belive mom enjoyed disneyland as much as any of us. she always wanted to ride. her she is on the rocket jets and look behind her. is that heather? why i think it is and she looks simply amazed.
