one last dance from their trip to maine

they both deserved so much out of life. for no other reason than they both brought so much to it. all the way to the end, dad loved mom so much and they were so happy in each others company. someone who you could trust always and who forgave any short coming(s) you may have had. i am envious of them both and love them so much.

from seashore to mountain side

here is mom and dad once again with their friends in maine. the mountains there are not as high as we have but they sure offer beautiful views.

this sure looks like a fun trip. i know dad enjoyed seafood on this trip. mom probably had burgers or chicken.

one last trip together

the last real trip mom and dad took together was up to maine to see her friend thelma and her husband. i recall that both of them said they had a good time. it was shortly after they got back that dad had his operation.

a more relaxed moment

for the girls and their well won hardware. a quick trip by some burger or pizza place. maybe a treat like diary queen then the trip home. from phoenix it was bad enough. someplace like camp verder was awful; while coming back from say new mexico, nervada or california was just downright painful. monday morning and work/school came early.

sarah's 1993 travel team

this was one of sarah's better teams and when pretty far on the tournament schedule that year. this team took up a lot of time and money as they were on the road almost every weekend that season. fun times and was coached by the 'infamous' norm hogger. this is the team photo after winning one of the tournaments in phoenix.

this was taken a few summers back, when heather first decided to come and live with me. i enjoyed these (short sided) games for one really important reason. there was a hawaiian ice stand there. yummmmmm! well, seeing heather play of course was inportant as well.
