halloween

a few weeks ago, i came across several pictures that i wanted to post today for halloween. so here it is, halloween and can i find those pictures, of course not. i swear, i am getting senile. here is one of sarah as an angel; awwwwwwwww

comings' and goings' in sedona

here is mom and dad on a stroll in sedona. they did not come up often, but always had a good time when they did. dad so loved the ducks at the pond. it was/is truly a beautiful place.

this is william and sarah on a trip to the zoo. i remember telling them both to be very careful and not fall into the water. they are so cute.

here is sarah in front of her favorite ride; maybe of all time. she can entertain strangers and keep them calm on this coaster. but i have to ask....did you get glue on your fingers? whats up with that? oh i know, that's a mr. spock vulcan sign in reverse, thats what that is. and yes folks, that's a real live "big sexy" shirt she has on.

the white tigers in vegas

no trip to vegas with sarah was complete without stopping at the mirage and seeing the tigers. she was always so excited to see them.

the top picture is of dad having some fun in the graveyard. bottom picture is mom and her sister, my aunt ida. there were no dates on photo but i would guess in the late 70's sometime. i seem to remember her coming out in that time frame.

not sure when this was taken, but one of the many times i had facial hair. not sure why i would grow a beard then shave it. seems like i have always done that.

check out this blast from the past. no date on photo, but has to be smack dab in the late 50's. talk about the americana iconic family - well here we are. An interesting note is that in a ‘staged’ photo, mom has her wallet in her lap still.

reading a good book and relaxing

this is me on one of the many camping trips we went on over the years. there was no date on the photo, so not sure when this was. something tells me, from the group it was in that this is on mt. graham.

what is pretty obvious is i have the large sun shade thing going on!and a corona shirt! oh gads what style.

this is me with aaron and heather, sometime around christmas of 2003 at the apartment.note my 'silver'-ness. grrrrr i am getting old. however, dig heathers longer hair.

mom and dad - the origional beautiful people

when i look at these, gosh-what their world must have been like.dad with the parted in the middle hair and mom so young and pretty. she has very beautiful eyes in the close up shot of them. it was defiantly 'their time' and it was probably a damn good time.

i can only look and imagine the love they shared and all the years it lasted. i am so proud of them both.

the obligatory ‘floral’ shot going into disneyland, this one dated april, 1978. i found another ‘floral’ shot on the web and was interested in it because there were no other people in the shot other that the subject. well look here, I have one of me in the same spot almost 27 years prior.

home to me in pascagoula

this was home for several years in pascagoula, ms. this trailer survived hurricane camille, however, it is gone now. photo is dated oct. 28, 1968 and you can see mom and dad sitting there on the porch. what you cannot see is the size of the front yard...i have memories of mowing that yard. what was sorta cool, was this was also the yard i learned to drive in (in dad's truck).

the infamous candy apple picture

i am sure that you have heard of this one, however, it is seldom see in public. not sure when, but i sure was having fun and enjoying this candy apple.

ellis garfield

when i think about him, this is the man i see. there is no date on the photo, which is a shame. he was very strong and full of the good things in life. he was surrounded by, what Lincoln called, the better angles of our heart. he was a wonderful father whom i miss.

marie and her mom.

this is another picture from the double anniversary party in phoenix. what is so funny is that marie looks somewhat startled at something and her mom rather amused. just to left is roger smoking a cigarette. enjoy, as this is the only photo i have run across of marie, so far.

high school football time

this picture was taken in the fall of 1970 and i was in the 10th grade. i am # 12 with back to the picture, sorta to the right of the shot.

these 2 pictures were taken my senior year. this is at practice and i am the quaterback. i also played on defence as well.

you mean after 55 years together.....

this is a article about my uncle jim. (my mothers' brother)

(note reference to dear drive in the article, yes named for the dear family(my mothers' family), there is also an ellis avenue, named after my grandfather and a parker drive named after the family, all in the little town of mendenhall, ms.)

anniversaries combined

i may post several of these this week. i do not remember when, but one year we combined mom and dads'; with, roger and maries' anniversaries in phoenix. i have some interesting shots of that night.
