Birth Of The Jedi Master...
Sixty-four years ago today in the small town of Modesto, California...
George Walton Lucas Jr. was born. A near-death car crash right before his high school graduation forced him to consider another career path(he wanted to be a race car driver) and made him focus on something different at the local community college. He developed an interest in making films... Modern cinema would never be the same.
Happy Birthday to the original Jedi Master.

new hp laptop
boys and girls,
sorry about not posting yesterday, i am sure your life was harmed in no way by the lack of occurance.
none the less; my old desktop finally decided to croke yet again and i find myself very tired of throwing good money after bad fixes. so, i went out and got this.
yes, i must say that i am somewhat happier and i am enjoying building up my software on the new machine. truly, a labor of love.
enought of that, if all goes well, life here sould return to normal, post hast!

in memory of Verla
i yet again have attended another memorial service. one of the brave that i am so proud to be associated with through the support group, has been called to their final rest. in a world of frenetic indecision, there she was with a smile, a willingness to help and strength beyond measure.
i was lucky enough to have know her this pass year. unknown to me until today,we had a common experience in that were both spent time at rocky point and both had occasion to be associated with dr. thompson at the university. she always had a smile, an encouragement and a hug for you, weather you wanted it or not. a positive fight against cancer, in her mind, was not debatable. it was simply the way it was for verla and those of us around her.
we are all better off for her being in this world. i know i am and i can only prey and trust in god to allow me the ability to do it correctly; like she did. thank you verla for all you have shown me.
god saw i was getting tired,
a cure was not to be.
so he put his arms around me
and whispered, 'come with me.
with tearful eyes,we watched
you fade away.
although we loved you dearly
we could not make you stay.
a golden heart stopped beating,
hard working hands to rest.
god broke our hearts
to prove to us,
he only takes the best.
