Little by little the future comes screaming in silence.

Unless you really have been digging, you probably missed this little aspect of the future brought to us by The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (Jaxa):

Japanese scientists are celebrating the successful deployment of their solar sail, Ikaros.

What was a one time matter of conjecture for discussions in science fiction; now, we have finally caught up with what should have been and now have solar sails out there.

This is an exciting time to look beyond the ho hum and everyday boredom of reality TV; note to my grand kids…..please, read a book, take the time to close your eyes and see your tomorrow. Do not squalor your ‘science fiction’ dreams. Live, learn and participate in any way you can in making what you dream into what you do.

Now, I shall go and think of a space elevator.
